Yuppy Puppy in Lake Bluff is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and dog-loving team member to join us as a kennel attendant . Please do not apply if you are still in high school. This role combines managing dog playgroups with general facility care, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves working hands-on with dogs, and can keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and rotate dogs safely into and out of playgroups Monitor dog behavior and play to ensure a safe, positive environment Assist kennel attendants with feeding, cleaning, and dog care for boarding dogs Help run dogs to and from group, kennels, or customer pickup Perform general cleaning tasks (vacuuming, mopping, dishes, restrooms, laundry, and waste cleanup) Maintain facility standards of cleanliness and organization Assist with occasional front desk and customer interactions Communicate effectively with team members and remain calm under pressure

Qualifications:

MUST love dogs and be comfortable working hands-on with them daily Prior experience in dog care or playgroup management preferred (training provided for the right candidate) Dependable, on-time, and able to multitask in a busy environment Positive, outgoing personality with strong teamwork skills Able to handle large dogs, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform medium-duty cleaning Reliable transportation required Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings (shifts typically 6:30 AM-1:30 PM or 12:30 PM-7:30 PM; occasional 8 AM-4 PM facility coverage) Able to pass a background check

Schedule & Availability:

Weekend shifts required Mix of morning and evening shifts, plus occasional daytime facility coverage Full-time and, part-time available
