Job Summary Part-Time Dog Trainer / Containment Trainer DogWatch is looking for a part-time Dog Trainer to join our team! Do you love dogs, enjoy working with people, and want a flexible part-time job where every day is a little different? We are looking for a reliable, confident, and dog-friendly person to help customers and their dogs successfully learn how to use and respect their DogWatch® Hidden Fence System. What You'll Do Train dogs to understand and respect their Dogwatch Hidden Fence containment boundary Work one-on-one with dogs and their owners during the training process Teach customers how to properly reinforce the dog's training Evaluate a dog's behavior and adjust training techniques as needed Help dogs become comfortable and confident with their new containment system Provide friendly, professional customer service at each appointment Travel to customer homes throughout our service area Represent DogWatch professionally and positively What We're Looking For Must genuinely love and be comfortable working with dogs Must be comfortable working with people and communicating clearly with customers Previous dog-training, veterinary, kennel, grooming, pet-care, or animal-handling experience is a plus Experience with dog behavior and obedience training is highly desirable Patient, calm, confident, and able to read dog behavior Reliable and punctual Comfortable working independently after training Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Compensation & Schedule $22-$25 per hour, depending on experience Mileage reimbursement Flexible part-time schedule Appointments can be scheduled around your availability Training provided on DogWatch containment systems and our training methods Opportunity for additional hours This is a great opportunity for someone who loves dogs but also enjoys working with people . You don't necessarily need to be a professional dog trainer. If you have strong experience handling dogs, understand basic obedience and dog behavior, and are patient and confident, we can teach you the DogWatch containment training system.
