Summary:
The Certified Athletic Trainer will provide injury prevention, evaluation, emergency care, rehabilitation support, and human performance services to Special Tactics personnel.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
Perform injury evaluations and first-response care. Develop injury prevention programs. Support rehabilitation under Physical Therapist direction. Monitor athlete readiness and recovery. Assist with performance testing and data collection. Coordinate referrals and follow-up care. Maintain documentation and reports.
Qualifications:
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
Athletic injury evaluation and treatment Emergency injury response and first aid Therapeutic exercise development Injury prevention programming Rehabilitation support Functional movement screening Clinical documentation Strong communication and teamwork Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Sports medicine and athletic training principles Human performance optimization Orthopedic injuries and rehabilitation Return-to-duty concepts Emergency medical procedures Military or tactical athlete environments (preferred) Healthcare regulations and patient privacy
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training. BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC). Current state licensure (or ability to obtain). Current CPR/BLS certification. Minimum 3 years of athletic training experience. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Occasional travel may be required in support of military training events, exercises, annual training, meetings, or other mission requirements. Must be willing and able to travel as required in support of the contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
Military or tactical athlete experience. CSCS certification. Experience with Special Operations or collegiate/professional athletics. Knowledge of Human Performance optimization.
