Job Description

Best Paw Forward is a professional dog training facility in Perkasie. We provide training, daycare, and supervised care for dogs enrolled in our programs. We're looking for a dependable, personable Dog Care Specialist to join our afternoon team. This role is about more than caring for dogs - you'll also be one of the friendly faces our clients see at pickup each day. If you enjoy working with both people and dogs, take pride in keeping things organized, and can stay calm in a busy environment, we'd love to meet you. Schedule Part-time afternoon hours, primarily Monday through Friday . Tuesday and Thursday availability is required. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday availability is strongly preferred. This position is a great fit for someone looking for consistent weekday afternoon hours, including students with afternoon availability. What You'll Do Welcome clients during afternoon pickup with a friendly, professional attitude Safely supervise dogs during potty breaks, play, and rest Feed dogs according to individualized written care instructions Monitor dogs for changes in behavior, health, or safety Clean and maintain kennels, training areas, and equipment to our standards Keep the facility organized and ready for the next day Communicate important updates to trainers and clients Follow established dog-handling and safety procedures What We're Looking For You genuinely enjoy working with both dogs and people You're dependable and consistently arrive on time You're confident handling dogs of different sizes and personalities You pay attention to detail and follow directions carefully You take pride in a clean, organized work environment You stay calm in a fast-paced setting and communicate when something doesn't seem right You're comfortable standing, bending, cleaning, and lifting up to 50 pounds Previous experience with dogs in a kennel, daycare, rescue, veterinary, or training environment is a plus, but we're happy to train the right person with a strong work ethic, good judgment, and a positive attitude.
