In this dynamic role, you'll be the heartbeat of our dog daycare, ensuring each furry guest enjoys a safe, stimulating, and loving environment. Your enthusiasm will help promote healthy socialization, proper training, and overall well-being for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals while engaging with pet owners and fostering a positive community atmosphere. Responsibilities Supervise daily playgroups, ensuring dogs interact safely and positively while monitoring their behavior to prevent conflicts or injuries Assist in dog training activities, reinforcing commands and encouraging good manners through positive reinforcement techniques Handle dogs during feeding, grooming, exercise, and rest periods, ensuring proper animal restraint and handling procedures are followed Maintain cleanliness of the facility by sanitizing kennels, play areas, grooming stations, and common spaces to uphold health standards Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their dogs' activities, behaviors, and any concerns Assist with pet boarding and pet sitting duties as needed, ensuring each animal's comfort and safety during their stay Perform outdoor work such as walking dogs in secure outdoor play yards and participating in exercise routines to promote physical activity Skills Previous veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience that demonstrates animal health knowledge Pet sitting or pet boarding experience that highlights your ability to care for animals independently Dog training skills with a focus on obedience, socialization, and behavioral management Kennel experience or animal handling expertise that ensures safe interaction with various dog breeds and temperaments Strong cleaning skills for maintaining a sanitized pet care environment in accordance with health standards Excellent customer service abilities to build trust with pet owners and address their needs confidently Pet grooming knowledge to assist with basic grooming tasks when necessary Animal restraint and handling skills to ensure safety for both dogs and staff during activities or emergencies Ability to perform heavy lifting and team lifting when moving supplies or assisting with larger dogs Outdoor work experience that involves walking dogs in open spaces or supervising outdoor play areas Knowledge of animal behavior to interpret canine signals and prevent potential issues proactively Embark on a rewarding journey where your dedication makes a real difference in the lives of pets and their owners!
