Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to provide support in a kennel environment. A Kennel Attendant is responsible for the daily care and well-being of animals housed in a kennel or boarding facility. This includes feeding, exercising, cleaning, and monitoring the health of the animals. Training is provided. Shifts are 7-1 and/or 4-6. Depending on season shift hours do change.

Key Responsibilities:
Feed, water, and care for dogs according to their individual needs Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas Walk and exercise dogs, and provide enrichment activities Observe animals and report any signs of illness or distress Administer basic medications, injections, or treatments as directed Assist with pet check-ins, check-outs, and provide updates to pet owners Maintain accurate records of care, feeding, and medications Work as part of a team to keep the facility running smoothly
Skills:
Prior experience working with animals is a plus but not required Ability to lift 50+ pounds and be on your feet for long periods Comfortable working weekends and holidays if needed Strong attention to detail and organizational skills If you are passionate about working with animals and have the skills required to excel in a kennel environment, we encourage you to apply for the Kennel Assistant position.
