LICENSED COSMETOLOGIST - LUXURY HEADSPA SPECIALIST

Amethyst Headspa - Greensboro, NC Amethyst Headspa is looking for a licensed cosmetologist to join our spa.

IMPORTANT

A current cosmetology license is required for this position. We are only considering licensed cosmetologists at this time. Please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement.

AVAILABILITY REQUIRED

We are specifically looking for someone who can make a consistent commitment to: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday Approximately 9:00/10:00 AM-6:00 PM In addition to these regular days, we are looking for someone with flexibility to fill in on Mondays and Fridays when needed and to work some Saturdays and Sundays. Weekend shifts may include working independently with your own scheduled clients. You must also be willing to occasionally come in on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays for scheduled Diamond Duo appointments, which require two providers. We understand that these additional days will not be every week, but flexibility is important. We are looking for someone dependable who can make Tuesday through Thursday a regular commitment while also being available for occasional weekday fill-ins, weekend appointments and Diamond Duo services when needed.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Our services are centered around relaxation, scalp wellness, massage and an elevated guest experience. You should be comfortable providing a firm, confident massage without performing deep-tissue massage. Massage techniques used in our services primarily include: Scalp massage Facial massage Upper-body massage Hand and arm massage Foot and leg massage for our Sole Serenity service Experience or familiarity with facials, skincare and massage techniques is strongly preferred. You do not need previous headspa experience. We will train you in our services, techniques and protocols.

TRAINING

Initial hands-on training is UNPAID and is required before working independently with guests. You will be training directly with the owner of Amethyst Headspa, a licensed cosmetologist with approximately 30 years of professional industry experience, and learning the techniques and service standards we use to create the Amethyst Headspa experience. There is no set length of time for training. How quickly you complete training will depend on how quickly you learn the techniques, your comfort and confidence performing them, and the amount of time you dedicate to practicing on your own. Some people may pick up the techniques quickly, while others may need additional practice before they are ready to work independently with guests. PAY Compensation starts at $20 per service and increases depending on the service performed. Additional earning opportunities may include tips and higher-paying services as you become trained and qualified to perform them.

EXPECTATIONS

This is a hands-on spa position. In addition to providing services, team members are expected to help maintain the environment and prepare for guests. Responsibilities include laundry, cleaning and resetting treatment areas, maintaining a professional workspace, and assisting with general spa upkeep. You are required to arrive 30 minutes before your first scheduled appointment to prepare for the day.
