Duties Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, and texturizing to meet client preferences and enhance their natural beauty Utilize salon software such as Meevo to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process transactions efficiently Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and ensuring a hygienic environment in compliance with industry regulations Provide expert hair care advice based on clients' hair types and needs; educate clients on products and styling tips to promote healthy hair Engage in retail sales by recommending suitable hair care products and upselling additional services to maximize client satisfaction and salon revenue Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques, offering feedback, and fostering a collaborative atmosphere Qualifications Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state law; additional certifications in hair coloring, hair extensions, or threading are a plus Proven experience working in the beauty industry with strong skills in hair styling, coloring, and customer service Familiarity with sanitation protocols and industry best practices to ensure client safety and hygiene standards are met Excellent communication skills to effectively connect with clients, understand their desires, and provide tailored recommendations Ability to manage store operations including retail math for inventory control and upselling strategies Passion for ongoing learning about current trends in hair care, color theory, and new techniques to continually elevate your craft Embark on a rewarding career where your creativity makes a difference!
