Job Description

Job Overview Join our team at MOA Hair Studio as a Salon Assistant! We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and professional individual who enjoys working with people and wants to grow their skills in a fast-paced salon environment. This position is open to part-time and full-time applicants. Korean language skills (fluent or conversational) are a plus, but not necessary, as we serve many Korean-speaking clients. You will support our stylists, assist clients, help with salon operations, and contribute to a clean, welcoming environment. Saturday availability is required for this position, except in emergency situations. Key Responsibilities Greet clients warmly and ensure a friendly atmosphere from arrival through checkout Assist with front desk responsibilities, including appointment scheduling, answering inquiries, and managing client records Maintain salon sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and common areas regularly to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff Support stylists with mixing color, prep work, and organization Prepare clients for services, such as draping, shampooing, and applying basic treatments

Qualifications:
At least 1 year of previous salon experience or relevant cosmetology/barbering training is highly preferred Strong communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members A positive attitude with excellent customer service skills; ability to multitask efficiently in a lively environment Reliable and professional
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting Wage :
WA State Minimum Wage ($17.13/hr) for the first 3 months followed by a guaranteed wage increase after the initial 3-month period
Performance-Based Adjustments:
Wages may be further adjusted or increased based on individual skills, experience, and performance
Tips:
100% of any tips received directly from customers are yours to keep

In-house mentorship and hands-on learning alongside experienced stylists
