Tennis Facility Attendant - Part Time USTA Florida - 1.0 Gainesville, FL Job Details Part-time From $17.25 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Interpersonal skills Outdoor work experience English High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Time management Full Job Description Position Expectations Position Title Tennis Facility Attendant - Part Time Location Assigned USTA FL Facility Department Tennis Management Reports To Head Tennis Professional Summary of Position The Tennis Facility Attendant will provide customer service, sales support, facility cleaning and maintenance and assist players and guests. The attendant ensures the facility is maintained and that players have high-quality tennis experience. Major Duties Complies with established USTA FL policies and procedures or as demonstrated as customary practice. Assists players at the Tennis Shop desk, books and assigns court times and assists with special requests Takes payment information from players and guests Answers incoming calls, determines purpose of calls and if unable to accommodate calls, forwards call to appropriate personnel Assists players with Tennis Shop purchases Maintains, replenishes, and keeps all beverage/refreshment areas neat and clean Receives and maintains Tennis Shop inventory/stock Books lessons, clinics, programs, and special events for players Promotes facility activities and special events Oversees court times, allocations, player registrations and ball machine reservations Opens/Closes facility as needed Performs janitorial work as needed Performs indoor/outdoor maintenance work as needed, including but not limited to clay court maintenance, replacing light bulbs, using powered equipment and small installations Visits and assists with support duties at satellite tennis courts (location dependent) Assists with preparing monthly facility reports Performs other duties as assigned by Head Tennis Professional Supervisory Responsibilities None Relationships Tennis Players Head Tennis Professional USTA Florida departments Vendors/Providers for facility Travel Demands Some travel required to meetings and satellite locations Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Experience working in a Tennis facility preferred Ability to lift heavy items periodically Customer service and sales experience in a related facility/industry preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office products, Excel, Office 365, and Outlook preferred Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed Must be able to read and write English Regular attendance is required Reliable transportation required Must have a professional and positive attitude Must be able to pass the USTA Safe Play and USTA FL Section background checks, as well as a drug test. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Good organizational and time management skills Detail oriented Strong verbal and written communication skills Creative thinker and problem solver Work Environment Tennis facility and shop Works in and out of facilities - exposed to outside weather Physical Demands Medium - 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds periodically with the assistance of equipment
