Job Description
We are hiring a part time Esthetician for our Metairie location. Our business is pretty simple, we get to help redefine how people experience wellness, both physically and mentally, through science backed recovery services. We are looking for a personality, not just a license (although that is also required). As an Esthetician at Zivel, you'll do more than provide services, you'll help create an experience. You'll work directly with clients to understand their goals, provide exceptional services, educate them about wellness and aesthetic options, and recommend services and products that may help them achieve the results they're looking for. This role is perfect for someone who loves the health and wellness industry, enjoys building relationships, is comfortable with sales, and understands that luxury service is often found in the smallest details. Ideal Candidate Has passion about health and wellness. You don't have to live at the gym or survive on green juice, but you should genuinely enjoy helping people look, feel, recover, and perform better. Loves sales. Sales isn't about pressuring someone into something they don't need. It's about listening, understanding what a client wants to achieve, and confidently recommending services and products that may help them get there. If you believe in what we offer, talking about it should feel natural. Comfortable with all kinds of people. Every client has different goals, personalities, and reasons for coming to Zivel. Meet them where they are and make them feel welcome. Great service doesn't have a "type." Understands the luxury service mindset. Pay attention to the little things, remember conversations, and anticipate needs. Luxury isn't stuffy - it's making people feel like their experience matters. The small things aren't really small. If you notice the crooked picture everyone else ignored for three days, we may already like you. Is curious about wellness technology. We get pretty excited about what's new. If your first reaction is, "Wait…tell me how that works," you'll probably fit right in. Build relationships, not interactions. Services bring clients through the door. Relationships bring them back. Get to know people, understand their goals, and celebrate their progress. Explain services clearly, answer questions confidently, and make clients feel comfortable. Professional doesn't mean robotic—we actually want to meet the real you. Maintains curiosity and an openness to feedback and learning. Wellness and technology are always evolving, and so are we. Ask questions, accept feedback, and be comfortable saying, "I don't know, but I'll find out." Brings positive energy. You don't have to be the loudest person in the room. Just be someone who enjoys creating a welcoming environment and helping people feel better about themselves. What You'll Do As part of the Zivel team, you will: Conduct consultations with clients about their aesthetic, wellness, performance, and recovery goals. Educate clients about Zivel services, technology, and available options while building long-term relationships that encourage client retention and repeat visits. Maintain clean, organized, and luxury-level treatment and client spaces by following all Zivel service standards, protocols, and safety procedures. Work collaboratively with the Zivel team to create a positive and high-performing studio environment. Participate in ongoing professional development. Recommend services, packages, memberships, and products based on individual client needs and achieve expected sales results: Client Conversion Rate - 50%+ of consultations result in a booked treatment package. Client Retention Rate - 75%+ of clients return for follow-up treatments or additional services. Client Satisfaction & Reviews - 10 new positive Google reviews per month and 3+client referrals per month. Appointment Utilization Rate - 90%+ of available appointment slots are booked during scheduled shifts. Requirements Current Louisiana Esthetician license as required by state regulations. Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends. Permitted to work legally in the US. Must be able to pass a federal background check. Prior experience in the aesthetics, health, or wellness industry preferred. Background in massage therapy, fitness training, aesthetics, nursing, dietetics, or related field is preferred. Comfortable discussing and recommending services, memberships, packages, and products. Passion for helping clients achieve their body goals while maintaining professionalism and empathy. Ability to learn new technology and confidently explain services to clients. Detail-oriented with high standards for cleanliness and presentation. Professional, dependable, and comfortable working as part of a team. This Job Probably Isn't for You If… You require full time or a set schedule without evening or weekend work. You hate sales and believe clients should "just figure out what they want." You see client service as simply completing the appointment. You prefer to wait for someone to tell you every little thing that needs to be done. You struggle with feedback or believe you already know everything you need to know. You don't enjoy talking with people or building relationships. And if the words "luxury client experience" make you think, "That's not really my job"…this probably isn't going to be your happy place.
