Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join the team at Sensory Sentiments. As a Massage Therapist, you will play a key role in enhancing the overall wellness experience of our guests by providing therapeutic massage services and providing customized treatments that will contribute to creating a calm, relaxing atmosphere that encourages healing and stress relief for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and other modalities tailored to the client's needs. Conduct thorough client consultations to assess their specific pain points, areas of tension, and wellness goals. Design personalized treatment plans that address client concerns while providing relaxation and stress relief. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by ensuring all equipment, linens, massage rooms and common spaces in the spa are clean, sanitized and well-organized. Communicate with clients during the session and throughout their spa visit to ensure comfort and effectiveness of treatment. Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and provide recommendations for maintaining muscle health and relaxation between visits. Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and client care. Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in massage therapy and wellness practices. Build lasting relationships with clients by offering outstanding service and promoting a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications:
Valid Massage Therapist license in Maryland Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients and understand their needs. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, while ensuring a comfortable, relaxing environment for clients. Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Genuine passion for promoting wellness and helping clients relieve stress and tension.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in additional therapeutic modalities (e.g., prenatal massage, sports massage, reflexology). Experience working in a luxury spa or wellness center environment.
