Southwick Linens is a family-owned specialty table linen rental company serving the events and parties industry throughout the Phoenix area. We are known for our beautiful products, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service. Our Gilbert warehouse includes an in-house commercial laundry operation where our team washes, presses, inspects, and packages our linens. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Laundry Lead to help keep this department running efficiently and ensure our linens meet our quality standards before returning to inventory.
Working Hours:
6:30am-3:00pm | Monday - Friday with 30 minute lunch This position is full-time during our peak event season. Hours may be reduced during our slower summer months based on business needs and workload.
Responsibilities:
Help coordinate daily laundry operations and workflow to ensure linens are processed accurately and efficiently. Provide day-to-day direction to Laundry Support, delegate tasks, and help keep the department productive and on schedule. Identify and treat spots and stains using appropriate detergents, chemicals, and cleaning methods. Monitor inventory of laundry chemicals and packaging materials and communicate when supplies need to be reordered. Safely operate commercial washers, dryers, pressing equipment, irons, and steamers. Ensure linens meet company standards for cleanliness, pressing, and overall presentation. Sorting linens by size and material and properly tagging each linen bag. Daily and weekly cleaning of designated areas. Maintain an efficient workflow in a fast-paced, production-focused environment while maintaining our quality standards.
Qualifications:
Dependability and punctuality. Strong work ethic and great communication skills. Ability to lead by example, provide clear direction, and keep a small team productive and on task. Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality. Previous commercial laundry, linen, dry-cleaning, hospitality, or pressing experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Comfortable working in a physical production environment that includes standing for most of the shift, repetitive movements, and working around heat and steam. Ability to safely lift, carry, and move bags or bundles of linens throughout the workday.

Full-time during peak season; reduced summer hours may be available based on business needs.
Pay:
$18.00-$19.00 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated ability to perform the Lead responsibilities.
