Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper maintenance of linens, uniforms, and other fabric items. Your energetic approach will help maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation across our facilities. Responsibilities Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and pressing machines efficiently and safely. Sort, load, and unload laundry items with care, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Use hand tools and cleaning equipment to maintain the cleanliness of laundry areas and surrounding spaces. Apply industrial cleaning techniques, including pressure washing and duct cleaning, to keep work areas spotless. Follow safety protocols diligently, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and fire extinguishers when necessary. Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to transport linens and supplies safely. Conduct outdoor work tasks such as outdoor drying or outdoor cleaning when required, adhering to safety guidelines. Requirements Experience with ladder use for reaching high storage or equipment areas. Knowledge of cleaning procedures, including industrial cleaning methods. Familiarity with the use of cleaning equipment and hand tools for maintenance tasks. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely over extended periods. Prior experience with outdoor work environments is preferred. Strong understanding of safety protocols, including PPE usage and fire extinguisher operation. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed.
