Duties Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers and dryers to ensure textiles are thoroughly cleaned and properly dried. Handle laundry materials with care, including sorting, loading, unloading, and folding textiles efficiently. Use push carts and other equipment to transport heavy loads safely throughout the laundry area. Follow safety protocols for manual handling and materials handling to prevent injuries and ensure a safe working environment. Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning work areas, equipment, and supplies using appropriate laundry detergents. Assist in textile cleaning processes by applying proper techniques for stain removal, garment care, and fabric preservation. Support customer service efforts by ensuring timely processing of laundry requests and communicating effectively with team members. Requirements Prior experience or familiarity with cleaning, laundry services, or textile handling is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently throughout shifts. Basic math skills for measuring detergents, sorting textiles, and managing inventory. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Understanding of sanitation practices necessary for maintaining hygiene in laundry operations. Ability to operate garment care machines such as industrial washers and dryers with attention to detail.
