Duties Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylic and nail extensions with precision and artistry. Apply advanced techniques including nail art, color blending, and the use of gel polishes to create customized designs. Follow strict salon safety protocols and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff. Consult with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable treatments, and communicate aftercare instructions effectively. Upsell retail products like nail care items, skincare products, or beauty tools to enhance client experience and salon revenue. Maintain detailed records of services provided and client preferences for future appointments. Stay updated on the latest trends in nail design, esthetic laser treatments, and industry best practices through ongoing education. Qualifications Proven experience working as a manicurist or nail technician within the beauty industry. Strong knowledge of color theory, sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and salon safety protocols. Skilled in various nail techniques including acrylic application, gel manicures, nail extensions, and dermabrasion. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients professionally and confidently. Familiarity with retail sales strategies such as upselling and retail math to maximize revenue opportunities. Certification or licensing in cosmetology or esthetician practices as required by local regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
