Duties Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic nail applications, and nail extensions with precision and creativity Apply color theory principles to recommend suitable shades and designs that enhance each client's style Maintain strict salon safety protocols by following sanitation and disinfection procedures to ensure a hygienic environment Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences, provide expert advice on nail care, and upsell retail products when appropriate Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in nail art, techniques like dermabrasion or esthetic laser treatments, and new product offerings to deliver innovative services Ensure all tools and workstations are properly disinfected after each client to uphold salon safety standards Assist in retail sales of nail care products and other beauty items to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue Requirements Valid cosmetology or esthetician license with certification in nail technology or related fields Proven experience working as a Nail Technician within the beauty industry, demonstrating proficiency in manicure, pedicure, gel nails, acrylics, and extensions Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, disinfection procedures, and salon safety protocols Excellent communication skills to engage clients confidently and understand their desired outcomes Ability to perform detailed nail art using color theory concepts and stay current with industry trends Experience with retail sales techniques such as upselling products related to nail care or beauty treatments Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends as needed Embark on a rewarding career where your artistic talents meet exceptional customer service!
