Job Description
Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction aligned with the approved curriculum on a daily basis. Develop lesson plans that support student learning outcomes and workforce readiness. Organize and maintain instructional materials, tools, equipment, and supply inventories. Monitor and evaluate student progress, including grading and attendance tracking. Provide timely, accurate, and constructive feedback on student performance, behavior and participations. Maintain current knowledge of applicable industry standards, laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, and integrate this knowledge into daily instruction. Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student behavior and instructional progress. Model professionalism, reliability, and respect to contribute to a positive school culture. Minimum Qualifications 5 years of experience in the field. Prior teaching experience preferred. Proficient written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, complete student evaluations, document student progress and email students and staff. Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office applications. Strong verbal communication skills for classroom instruction and student engagement. High School Diploma or GED. Active NJ State Board of Cosmetology Manicurist or Cosmetologist-Hairstylist license. Active NJ State Board of Cosmetology Teacher license, preferred.
