Hiring Department Theatre Division, UMKC Conservatory Job Description For over 25 years, Life Drawing has been a curriculum requirement for students seeking a Masters of Fine Art in Theatre Design. The UMKC Conservatory's Masters in Theatre Design Program invites candidates to apply for a Figure Modeling position. Modeling for the Figure Drawing class requires this person to be comfortable modeling nude and in costume. Classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 10:30am for the academic Fall and Spring semesters. Models are expected to be prompt and reliable. The willingness to work with the professor in class to provide special environments, props or costumes. They are also expected to be professional and respectful to the class environment, the students, and professor. The model should have ability to construct interesting poses from a variety of views. Be able to do a variety of dynamic short poses for gesture drawing and hold long poses. Long poses will be a maximin of 20 minutes and may repeat through a class or classes. 5-minute breaks are held every 20 minutes and a 10 minute break halfway through class. Models are expected to have their own robe and timer. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be dependable, professional, and mature Anticipated Hiring Range The anticipated hiring rate for this position has been established as $20.00/hourly
