Job Details:

• Manage the team, scheduling, inventory, and the day to day oversight of a busy kids haircut salon.
• Serve as a senior hairstylist (a minimum of 4 years of experience) in barbering and haircutting.
• Virginia cosmetology license is required.
• This can be a full-time or a part-time position.

Weekends (Saturday-Sunday) are required work days.

Sharkey's Cuts for Kids is a salon for kids ages 0-14. We're on a mission to WOW our clients from the minute they arrive. Smiles and a positive attitude are a must, and we treat all our team members like family!

Hair Stylist Responsibilities:

Provide boys and girls haircuts with scissors, clippers, etc., within a set timeframe (20 minutes for boys and 30 minutes for girls)

Ability to offer specialty cuts or styles (fades, braids (French, etc.,), etc.), is a plus

Interact in a positive and friendly manner with parents and solicit their feedback throughout the haircut experience be responsive to requests

Offer fast, quality, and efficient service with a smile

Mentor, train, and oversee the work or other salon stylists

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere.

Ability and desire to work with kids.

Other Responsibilities May Include:

Scheduling and organize employees' shifts, as required. Provide input on and suggest new service offerings.

Oversee and maintain cleanliness of the salon.

Oversee and assist with daily salon operations.

Assist with hiring and training licensed stylists, as needed.

Must have an active cosmetology or barbering license in the state of Virginia.
