Job Overview We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Tailor to join our dynamic ballroom apparel team. This is specifically for menswear. Shirts, jackets, vests, pants, etc. In this role, you will bring garments to life through expert sewing, alterations, and garment construction, ensuring each piece fits perfectly and meets our high standards of quality. Your craftsmanship will enhance our customers' confidence and style, making every visit a memorable experience. Whether working on custom apparel or adjusting ready-to-wear items, your skills will help us deliver exceptional service and outstanding products. Duties Perform clothing alterations and repairs with precision, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and resizing garments for a perfect fit Construct new garments from patterns using sewing machines and hand sewing techniques, specializing in men's wear tailoring. Use fabric knowledge to select appropriate materials for different clothing items and alterations Provide excellent customer service by understanding client needs, offering style advice, and ensuring satisfaction with finished products Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, sewing tools, and materials to promote efficiency and safety Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines for custom orders and ensure consistent quality across all projects Experience Proven experience in fashion retail or garment tailoring with a strong portfolio of completed projects Skilled in clothing alterations, garment sewing, stitching, and garment construction techniques Familiarity with sewing machines and hand sewing tools Knowledge of fabric materials and their properties to select suitable textiles for various garments Strong understanding of men's wear tailoring and custom apparel production processes Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, fabric cutting, and pattern adjustments Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively about design options and alterations Join us as a Tailor to craft impeccable garments that elevate our customers' style while honing your skills in a lively, supportive environment.
