Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Peak Performers has partnered with a managed care organization to assist in their search for a remote Data Protection Analyst. In this contract position, you will be responsible for administering the data loss prevention program Major duties
  • Triages, investigates, and documents DLP alerts in accordance with established incident response, privacy, and escalation workflows; supports root cause analysis and escalation of confirmed data protection incidents to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve the effectiveness of existing or new data protection controls, including reducing false positives, under established governance and change management processes.
  • Generates recurring and ad-hoc DLP metrics to support operational oversight, risk trending, and management reporting.
  • Anticipates emerging data protection needs and support the development or enhancement of controls and processes in collaboration with the data protection team and business partners, escalating risks or gaps as identified.
  • Contributes to the configuration, deployment, monitoring, and tuning of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions across cloud and on premises environments, in alignment with approved standards and procedures.
  • Supports technical control audits, regulatory reporting, and internal assessments by gathering evidence, maintaining documentation, and responding to data protection-related inquiries.
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of policies, workflows, and standard operating procedures that govern the identification, protection, and handling of sensitive data, including PHI and PII.
  • Supports the development of educational materials and guidance related to data identification, secure handling, and transfer of sensitive data, including PHI and PII, for technical and non technical audiences.
