We're making fine furniture, cushions, pillows and curtains and sheers and need a experienced seamstress in these fields. Hand sewing at a fast pace is a must. Responsibilities Operate industrial sewing machines to produce and upholstery items efficiently and accurately. Measure fabric materials and finished products using precise measuring instruments to ensure proper fit and dimensions. Cut fabric manually with sharp cutting tools, following detailed patterns and specifications for each project. Construct upholstery pieces by sewing seams, attaching components, and applying finishing techniques in accordance with quality standards. Handle materials carefully, managing fabric inventory and ensuring proper storage to prevent damage or waste. Maintain safety standards in production areas by following proper procedures for machine operation and handling sharp tools. Conduct dimensional measurements throughout the production process to verify accuracy and consistency of finished products. Requirements Proven experience with upholstery sewing, or related textile crafts is highly desirable. Proficiency in operating sewing machines, embroidery machines, and other relevant tools. Strong understanding of sewing techniques including seam construction and sewing in general. Ability to interpret technical patterns, diagrams, and specifications accurately. Knowledge of quality standards in production to ensure high-quality output at all times. Familiarity with measuring instruments used in textiles and garment fitting. Understanding of safety standards in production environments to maintain a safe workspace.
