This position allows you to work from home, as long as you have the machinery to complete many alterations we offer to our customers. Job Summary We are seeking a talented and dedicated Professional Seamstress to assist with completing alterations for our very busy dry cleaning store in Woodstock, GA. In this role, you will ensure each alteration meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. This position requires that you have transportation to and from our store since you will need to pick up and drop off alterations on a weekly/bi-weekly basis. We require professional references that we will call to confirm experience. Duties Completing alteration tasks such as, but not limited to: Shortening & lengthening pants and jeans, Shortening and lengthening sleeves on shirts, sport coats, and outdoor jackets, Replacing zippers on pants, jackets, pillow and cushion covers, Taking in evening and casual dresses, shirts, pants, and skirts, Adding darts to shirts and dresses, Repairing non-seam tears and holes in various garments, Adding button holes to shirts and jackets, etc. Experience Proven experience in garment alterations and sewing, with a strong attention to detail. Proficiency with various types of sewing machines and related tools. Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks within a certain time frame. Familiarity with fabric handling and finishing techniques. Ability to work independently.

Pay:

$20.00 - $40.00 per hour
