Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, talented, and detail-oriented Seamstress/Tailor to join our dynamic fashion retail team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, altering, and repairing garments to meet the highest quality standards and customer expectations. Your expertise in garment construction, tailoring techniques, and fabric knowledge will ensure every piece is finished with precision and care. You will also assist customers with fittings, pinning garments, and providing exceptional customer service . This position will begin as part-time, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs. Responsibilities Perform clothing alterations and repairs with accuracy, ensuring proper fit and professional finishes. Construct new garments from patterns, measurements, and customer specifications. Operate sewing machines, pressing equipment, and hand-sewing tools safely and efficiently. Press garments to achieve crisp seams and high-quality presentation. Create custom apparel tailored to individual customer measurements and preferences. Assist customers with fittings, pinning, and garment consultations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining exceptional quality standards. Requirements Previous tailoring experience is required. No exceptions. Strong experience with clothing alterations, garment construction, and sewing techniques. Confident performing fittings, pinning, alterations, and garment construction. Proficient with sewing machines, pressing equipment, and hand-sewing techniques. Knowledge of fabric types, garment construction, and tailoring methods for both women's and men's clothing. Ability to perform basic math for measurements, fitting adjustments, and pattern modifications. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Outstanding customer service and communication skills. Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Flexible and comfortable working with a variety of fabrics and garment styles while following safety standards.

Pay:

$15.00 - $22.00 per hour
