We're looking for someone who is already confident working independently in a professional shop environment and who takes pride in providing a safe, clean, welcoming experience for every client. This is not an apprenticeship position. Applicants should already have professional piercing experience and be comfortable performing a wide range of common body piercings. We're looking for someone who is knowledgeable, reliable, professional, and strong with clients. Jewelry knowledge and sales ability are also very important to us. We carry both standard and upgraded jewelry options, and we want someone who enjoys helping clients choose pieces that work well for their anatomy, style, and budget.
Responsibilities include:
Performing professional body piercings safely and confidently Providing client consultations and appropriate aftercare instructions Assessing anatomy and determining whether a piercing is appropriate Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary piercing area Properly following sterilization, cross-contamination, sharps, and bloodborne pathogen procedures Properly handling and processing reusable equipment when applicable Assisting clients with jewelry selection and upgrades Understanding jewelry materials, styles, sizing, and appropriate initial jewelry Performing jewelry changes and troubleshooting basic piercing concerns within your professional scope Maintaining piercing and jewelry supplies Helping monitor inventory and communicating when products or supplies need to be reordered Maintaining accurate client documentation Following all applicable California and local body-art requirements Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional attitude with clients and coworkers Helping keep the piercing department running smoothly and efficiently We're looking for someone who: Has professional body piercing experience Is comfortable working independently Has strong knowledge of anatomy, jewelry, healing, sterilization, and cross-contamination prevention Is knowledgeable about quality body jewelry and appropriate materials Has excellent customer service and communication skills Is confident helping clients select and purchase jewelry Is reliable, organized, clean, and detail-oriented Can work well as part of a team Can accept feedback and communicate professionally Is comfortable working with children and families as well as adult piercing clients Is available for weekends and some evenings A current bloodborne pathogens certificate and applicable body-art registration will be required.
