Job Description
RH is seeking an Upholstery Build-Up Associate to join our Dmitriy & Co manufacturing location in Los Angeles. This role requires exceptional technical expertise and a true passion for craftsmanship. The Upholstery Build-Up Associate will play a key part in bringing to life upholstery pieces that embody RH's uncompromising standards of quality and design. As a valued member of our team, you will refine your skills, collaborate with visionary partners, and contribute to our enduring legacy of artistry and excellence.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurately review and follow purchase orders, providing timely progress updates to ensure workflow efficiency Apply upholstery build-up techniques and production standards with precision, ensuring each piece reflects our commitment to exceptional quality Expertly utilize hand tools and equipment, including staple guns, webbing stretchers, hammers, scissors, and select power tools, to assemble and build up upholstery pieces with precision Safely handle wood frames and materials, utilizing assistance when appropriate to maintain both safety and craftsmanship integrity Contribute to hand-sewing, specialty projects, and other tasks as needed, supporting innovation and excellence within the upholstery teamOUR REQUIREMENTS
1+ year of upholstery build-up experience in a production or workshop environment Proficiency in upholstery build-up techniques, including webbing, padding, and applying other materials Strong time management and communication skills, with a collaborative and service-oriented approach Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision Uphold a commitment to quality, safety, and meticulous attention to detail Maintain consistent attendance and punctualityPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently lift and mobilize furniture and accessories in excess of 75 pounds while utilizing appropriate equipment and adhering to safety guidelines Frequent standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods Bend, twist, stretch, reach, stoop, climb, squat, kneel, push, and pull frequently Maneuver effectively around the workroom floor and loading docks Grasp, move, and assemble materials and products with hands Distinguish and evaluate differences in color, shade, and brightnessSimilar remote jobs
