Position Summary TMB is seeking a skilled, hands-on Trade Show Booth Fabricator to build, finish, assemble, maintain, and prepare custom trade-show booths and product displays. This position is ideal for someone with practical fabrication experience who takes pride in producing clean, durable, professional-quality work. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with wood, metal pipe, hardware, paints, and finishing materials. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, safe use of shop tools, and the ability to complete projects on schedule. Primary Responsibilities Build trade-show booths, display structures, counters, product stands, signs, and related exhibit components. Measure, mark, cut, drill, shape, and assemble wood, pipe, and other fabrication materials. Sand, fill, prime, paint, and finish booth components to a professional standard. Assemble and test-fit booths and displays before shipment to ensure proper fit and function. Read and work from drawings, measurements, sketches, photographs, and verbal instructions. Install hinges, casters, latches, fasteners, brackets, and other hardware. Repair, modify, refurbish, and repaint existing booths and display components. Prepare completed components for safe packing, storage, and transportation. Maintain an organized inventory of fabrication materials, hardware, tools, and supplies. Keep the fabrication shop clean, safe, and orderly. Operate hand tools, power tools, saws, drills, sanders, grinders, and painting equipment safely. Work closely with TMB's Marketing, Operations, and trade-show teams to meet project requirements and deadlines. Assist with booth assembly, disassembly, loading, and preparation during trade-show periods. Perform other fabrication and facility-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in exhibit fabrication, scenic construction, cabinetmaking, carpentry, set building, display construction, or a related field. Experience cutting, assembling, sanding, painting, and finishing wood components. Experience working with pipe, metal hardware, and mechanical fasteners. Ability to accurately use tape measures, levels, squares, and other measuring tools. Ability to follow drawings, specifications, and written or verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt designs during fabrication. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet firm trade-show deadlines. Dependable attendance and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Ability to communicate effectively in a production-shop environment. Valid driver's license is preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work with tools for extended periods. Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds; heavier items will be handled with assistance or appropriate equipment. Ability to work safely around sawdust, paint, adhesives, power tools, and active fabrication equipment while using required personal protective equipment. Ability to work overtime during trade-show preparation and other peak periods. Compensation and Schedule This is a full-time, hourly position based at TMB's San Fernando facility. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The hourly pay range is $26.00-$30.00, based on relevant skills and experience. Overtime may be required during trade-show periods and will be paid in accordance with applicable law.
