Our Aircraft Upholstery Technicians play a key role in transforming aircraft interiors through craftsmanship, precision, and attention to detail. We are seeking an Aircraft Upholstery Technician to join our Aircraft Interiors team. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in aircraft upholstery, automotive upholstery, marine upholstery, furniture upholstery, custom interiors, sewing, pattern making, foam fabrication, or other related craftsmanship trades. Whether creating new seat covers, refurbishing aircraft seating, repairing interior components, or assisting with complete cabin refurbishment projects, you'll contribute directly to the quality and appearance of business aircraft operated around the world. What You'll Do Support Aircraft Seating Refurbishment Projects Fabricate, repair, refurbish, and reassemble aircraft seating components. Support aircraft interior refurbishment and cabin enhancement projects. Work alongside experienced seat technicians and crew chiefs to deliver high-quality finished products. Help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Perform UpholsteryFabrication Work Cut, pattern, sew, and install aircraft seating materials. Create and modify upholstery patterns for aircraft seating applications. Remove and replace leather, fabric, vinyl, and other upholstery materials. Perform seat cover fabrication and installation. Evaluate, repair, rebuild, and assemble seat components. Assist with foam fabrication, foam buildup, seat shaping, and cushion refurbishment. Repair damaged interior panels and seating assemblies. Support custom interior refurbishment and modification projects. Maintain QualitySafety Standards Follow established work instructions, procedures, and quality standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Protect customer aircraft and interior components throughout the refurbishment process. Ensure completed work meets customer expectations and company quality standards. Continue Developing Your Craft Learn aircraft interior fabrication techniques from experienced technicians. Develop advanced skills in pattern making, sewing, upholstery, seat refurbishment, and aircraft interior craftsmanship. Participate in ongoing training and career development opportunities. What You Bring Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with upholstery, sewing, pattern making, fabrication, or seat refurbishment. Experience in one or more of the following industries: Aircraft interiors Automotive upholstery Marine interiors Furniture upholstery RV interiors Custom fabrication Experience using sewing machines and upholstery equipment. Experience with leather, vinyl, fabric, or foam fabrication. Mechanical aptitude and strong manual dexterity. Compensation The base hourly range for this role is $22.00 USD - $35.00 USD. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of experience levels. Specific compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to; minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience and location. Physical Requirements Routinely lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Stand for extended periods while bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and performing detailed hand work. Use repetitive hand motions and fine motor skills when sewing, patterning, and assembling components. Work in aircraft cabins, hangars, and production environments. Work around materials and products associated with aircraft maintenance and refurbishment. Overtime and shift flexibility may be required based on business needs.
