We are seeking an experienced Quality Liaison to support automotive seating quality operations in Madison, Mississippi. Position Overview The Quality Liaison will oversee the sorting, inspection, and rework of automotive seating, with a primary focus on upholstery appearance, sewing, and stitching quality. This individual will serve as the main point of contact between our customer and plant personnel while coordinating rework activities and ensuring all products meet established quality standards. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary liaison between our customer, CBS Global, and plant personnel. Oversee daily sorting, inspection, and rework activities involving automotive seats and upholstery. Inspect upholstery for stitching defects, loose or skipped stitches, seam alignment, wrinkles, tears, material damage, and other cosmetic concerns. Perform and oversee sewing and upholstery rework to bring nonconforming seats into compliance with customer standards. Train and guide operators on proper sewing, inspection, and rework techniques. Coordinate with production and quality teams to identify defects, determine corrective actions, and resolve issues efficiently. Verify completed rework and ensure repaired products meet customer specifications before release. Maintain accurate records of defects, rework activity, corrective actions, productivity, and quality results. Communicate project status, recurring defects, and operational concerns to customer and CBS Global management. Qualifications & Requirements Previous sewing experience is required. Experience operating industrial sewing machines or performing upholstery sewing and repair is strongly preferred. Ability to inspect and evaluate stitching, seams, upholstery fit, and overall cosmetic quality. Previous experience with automotive seating, upholstery, textiles, trim, or soft-material manufacturing is strongly preferred. Experience in quality inspection, rework, production supervision, or a customer liaison role within an automotive or manufacturing environment. Ability to lead and train employees performing inspection and rework activities. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while coordinating with customer, production, and quality teams. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship and quality. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are preferred. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on inspection and rework activities.
