skills require high school diploma or higher. must be able to pass a basic math test. duties include animal restraint, client interaction, drawing up vaccinations. running laboratory tests, taking xrays, assisting in surgery and anesthesia monitoring. walking, feeding, cleaning, medicating animals, operating fluid pumps, autoclaving instruments, preparing the surgical area. This job is the equivalent of animal nursing. this position will require weekend and holiday shifts on a rotating schedule Summary As a Veterinary Assistant, you will be integral to providing compassionate care for animals and supporting veterinary staff in a clinical setting. Your core skills in animal handling, veterinary terminology, and pet care will be essential as you assist with procedures and ensure the well-being of patients. With premium skills in animal restraint and medication administration, you will contribute to the efficient operation of the clinic. Additionally, your relevant experience in laboratory procedures and veterinary practices will enhance the quality of care we provide.
