Kennel Assistant Sierra Ranch Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Kennel Assistant to join our dedicated veterinary team in Roseville, California. Our clinic is committed to providing exceptional patient care while maintaining a professional, supportive, and collaborative work environment. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about animal care and thrives in a fast-paced veterinary setting. Position Overview The Kennel Assistant plays an important role in supporting our veterinarians and technical staff while ensuring the comfort, cleanliness, and well-being of our patients and boarding animals. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: A positive and professional attitude Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail The ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Dependability and a strong work ethic Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred Required Skills Confident and safe animal handling abilities Strong time management and prioritization skills Basic knowledge of flea and tick preventatives, medications, and general veterinary care Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with vaccine administration Basic understanding of veterinary pharmacology and medical terminology Experience obtaining TPRs (temperature, pulse, and respiration) and patient signalments Responsibilities Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care Support technician appointments, including nail trims, vaccinations, and anal gland expressions Provide daily care for boarding animals, including feeding, walking, and monitoring patients Maintain clean and sanitary kennels, cages, treatment areas, and hospital spaces Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining supplies Prepare surgical packs and assist with equipment maintenance and cleaning
Compensation & Benefits Compensation:
$17.00-$18.00 per hour, depending on experience
