We are currently looking for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist as our hospital grows busier and we expand our services! Our hospital has extended hours, and evenings until 10pm will be required each week, as well as weekends. Our ideal candidate is comfortable working in multiple departments as needed, and keeps cool calm and collected in a veterinary urgent care setting. Receptionists with veterinary assisting experience encouraged to apply! Pay is DOE. Duties Answer phone calls with urgency, manage multiple phone lines, coordinate with staff to triage over the phone emergencies Warmly greet each client that enters the facility, check new and existing clients in and provide necessary paperwork, asses the needs of clients and patients in the lobby by communicating directly and frequently monitoring area Collect payments, create and discuss estimates, demonstrate comfort explaining pricing and payment inquiries Maintain accurate records of patient information, client information, and important medical updates Assist with technician duties as need by filling medications, restraining, rooming patients and collecting history Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including treatment areas and exam rooms Qualifications Minimum 1 year experience as a veterinary receptionist Knowledge of basic vaccine, animal handling, and sanitation protocols Comfort navigating veterinary software, email, supply ordering platforms Ability to decipher the need for urgent services vs. regular doctor exams Ability to balance the doctor's schedule without overbooking or turning clients away Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in extremely high stress/emotional situations Flexibility to adapt to a multiple doctor staff and differing work styles Comfort around and potentially handling anxious, injured, and aggressive animals If you are passionate about animal care and eager to contribute positivity and exceptional work ethic to our growing team, we would love to meet you!
