Monroe Veterinary Clinic is currently seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant/Technician for our rapidly growing small animal hospital. Applicants must be dependable, motivated, detail-oriented team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and excellent nursing skills.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO

Working exam rooms, assisting our Doctors, medical record notation, assisting with surgery, dental procedures, placement of IV catheters managing fluid therapy, running and maintain lab equipment, digital radiographs, computer skills, client communication and education, customer service and maintaining a practical knowledge of the hospital procedures, services and procedures, maintaining a clean hospital facility and ability to lift up to 50lbs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION BASICS

Bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, standing/walking on tile floor up to 12 hours a day, typing, writing, balance, twisting, squatting and rotating throughout the day. Moving animals from the floor, the cage, the exam rooms and restraining animals up to 80 pounds intermittently.

JOB TYPE

Full-time or Part-time Veterinary Technician or Technician Assistant position available. Weekend and Holiday rotation is a must!

EXPERIENCE

One year previous veterinary experience is required.
