Role:
Parker Veterinary Hospital PC is looking for a passionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team in Oxford, MI! This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of animals and their owners in a supportive, fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures Collect and process laboratory samples including blood draws, urinalysis, and cytology Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian Monitor and care for patients pre- and post-operatively, including anesthesia monitoring Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays) following proper safety protocols Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans and home care instructions Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment
Requirements:
Veterinary Technician certification preferred or clinical experience Experience with small animal handling, restraint, and patient care Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring Familiarity with veterinary practice management software Strong communication skills and a compassionate, client-focused demeanor Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented, high-energy environment Physical ability to lift and restrain animals of varying sizes
