We offer an extensive onboarding program, with the goal of ensuring a new hire has sufficient time to gain the skills necessary to thrive in our fast-paced veterinary medical hospital. Job Details:
Full-time, non-exempt (hourly), benefits-eligible Hourly rate: $18-22/hour,
DOE Schedule:
4, 10-hour shifts/week, including 2 weekends every 6 weeks

Responsibilities:
This person will work closely with our services, including Appointments, Urgent Care, and Surgery. They will provide valuable support to both technicians and veterinarians.
Duties may include:
General patient monitoring and care Assisting Technicians with restraint for medical procedures Taking patient histories Running lab work Filling prescription medications Preparing exam room, treatment room or surgical suite for each patient visit Performing radiographs, including patient positioning and restraint Patient surgical preparation and recovery Cleaning and packing surgical instruments Assisting with discharges and client education Performing radiographs, including patient positioning and restraint
Qualifications:
Familiarity/experience with veterinary medicine and general instrumentation preferred Developed communication skills, professionalism, and ability to collaborate with a team Commitment to hospital core values of compassionate, accessible care High School Diploma or GED Ability to multi-task and work effectively with competing priorities Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with a diverse population Ability to remain composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment Must be able to lift over 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time Comfort with animals in a hospital setting
