Located in the heart of Madison, MS, we are a full-service small animal hospital committed to providing innovative, high-quality care for pets and exceptional service to our clients. Role:
As a Kennel Assistant, you'll play an essential role in ensuring the comfort, cleanliness, and safety of our boarding, grooming, and hospitalized patients. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in animal care.Responsibilities Include:
Providing daily care, feeding, and exercise for animals in the hospital and boarding facility Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment (kennels, cages, runs, wards) Bathing and basic grooming of pets Monitoring animal behavior and alerting veterinary staff of any concerns Assisting team members with basic handling and animal husbandry Supporting a positive, team-oriented culture Frequently lift and carry patients weighing 50 lbs., and walk/handle patients weighing up to 150 lbs. Ability to work independently on tasks/duties assigned by your immediate supervisorWhat We're Looking For:
A love for animals and a strong work ethic Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive attitude Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment Willingness to learn and grow in the field of veterinary care Previous animal care experience is a plus, but not required--we're happy to train the right person!Schedule & Benefits:
