East Hills Veterinary Clinic is looking for a compassionate and dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. We are a locally owned, AAHA-accredited small-animal hospital with deep roots in the Loveland community. Our team is committed to excellent medical, behavioral, and surgical care. We use Fear Free techniques to make visits more comfortable for our canine and feline patients. We believe great veterinary medicine begins with collaboration, open communication, and genuine respect for pets, clients, and one another. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will work closely with our veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians throughout the hospital. Your day may include assisting with appointments and outpatient care, preparing exam and treatment areas, collecting patient histories, documenting medical information, supporting laboratory testing, and helping with surgical and dental patients from intake through recovery and discharge. You will also help clean and maintain medical equipment while keeping the hospital organized, safe, and ready for every patient. We are seeking someone who handles dogs and cats safely and compassionately, communicates with empathy, and remains calm and attentive in a busy clinical environment. The right person will be dependable, organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working as part of a close-knit team. At least one year of veterinary assistant or clinical veterinary experience is preferred. Experience with Fear Free handling and AVImark or similar veterinary software is also helpful. Our hospital is equipped with in-house laboratory equipment, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and laser therapy. We practice team medicine and provide mentorship and opportunities for professional growth. There are no after-hours or on-call responsibilities. Eligible full-time team members may receive health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, retirement benefits, employee discounts, life insurance, and additional voluntary benefits. Compensation is competitive and based on experience. Specific benefit eligibility and plan details will be discussed during the hiring process. This is an active clinical position that requires standing, walking, bending, and assisting with patients throughout the day. Candidates must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds with appropriate assistance and safely work around animals, anesthetic agents, biological materials, medications, and veterinary equipment. At East Hills, our team members are the heart of our practice. We want you to feel supported, valued, and proud of the care you help provide. If you are looking for a friendly, encouraging hospital where you can grow while making a meaningful difference for pets and their families, we would love to meet you.
