We are seeking a veterinary technician to provide assistance for small but busy small animal practice (cats and dogs, occasional rabbits and exotics). We are currently open Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5-6 pm. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys looking out for the best quality of care for the animals and interacts well with clients.

Duties include:

• Obtaining history, weight and temperature of patients presented for appointments
• Maintaining cleanliness of exam rooms, surgical suites and treatment areas
• Taking X-rays, obtaining and analyzing blood/urine/feces samples, placing IV catheters, etc.
• Performing dental cleaning procedures on patients
• Monitoring anesthesia and assisting in surgery
• Occasional receptionist duties (answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking in/out clients, etc.
