Educating clients on wellness care, preventive treatments, and at-home pet health to support lifelong well-being for their pets Supporting veterinarians in examinations, treatments, and medical procedures Performing routine procedures, such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians Monitoring and recording vital signs during procedures and treatments Preparing animals for surgery and assisting during surgical procedures Conducting laboratory tests and analyzing samples Ensuring exam rooms are cleaned, stocked, and prepared efficiently between appointments to maintain smooth patient flow Adhering to Hello Vet's established protocols and standards to provide consistent, high-quality patient care Providing compassionate care and comfort to pets and their owners Detail-oriented approach to tasks, ensuring accuracy in patient records and treatment plansSkills & Qualifications Required Skills:
Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or technician Client Education- Strong ability to explain wellness care, preventive treatments, and home care to pet owners Animal Handling
- Properly handling pets in a way that minimizes stress ( Fear Free training provided ) Aseptic Technique
- Understanding of sterile procedures to prevent infections Pet Health Knowledge
- Understanding vaccinations, parasite prevention, and nutrition Veterinary Terminology
- Familiarity with medical terms and procedures Animal Husbandry & Behavior
- Recognizing stress signals and ensuring patient comfort Animal Physiology & Anatomy
- Basic understanding of different animal species Veterinary Software
- Experience with electronic medical records and scheduling systems (preferred) Time Management
- Ability to prioritize patient care and keep appointments on schedule Detail-Oriented
- Strong attention to accuracy in patient records, treatments, and room readiness
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in core veterinary assisting skills, including vaccine administration, medication handling, sample collection, and patient restraint. Passion for animal care and client education Strong teamwork and communication skillsBenefits:
