Veterinary Hospital Attendant - Full Time At Ark Animal Hospital , we believe in the importance of personalized, compassionate care for our patients, our clients, and our team. We're a privately owned veterinary hospital that takes pride in maintaining a clean, advanced, warm, fast-paced, and supportive environment. We're currently seeking a Hospital Attendant to join our team. This is an entry-level, primarily cleaning and stocking role , ideal for someone who is self-motivated, organized, and committed to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. While there may be opportunities in the future to assist with patient care, this role is not focused on hands-on animal handling . Whether you're looking to gain experience in the veterinary field or just love keeping spaces clean and running smoothly, this could be the perfect role for you.
What You'll Do:
As a Hospital Attendant, your main responsibility will be to support the daily operations of the hospital by ensuring all areas are clean, well-stocked, and functional.
Your day will include:
Facility Support:
Restocking exam rooms and treatment areas Opening and closing the hospital using daily checklists Year-round outdoor upkeep: watering plants, sidewalk salting, light landscaping, and pet waste cleanup
Cleaning & Organization:
Maintaining cleanliness throughout the hospital (sweeping, mopping, disinfecting) Keeping laundry running Keeping supplies stocked Sanitizing exam rooms between each patient visit
Limited Patient & Client Support:
Occasionally assisting with walking or feeding hospitalized pets as needed Supporting communication between departments to keep the day flowing smoothly
What We're Looking For:
No veterinary experience required— we will train the right person! Strong desire to keep spaces clean and organized Excellent time management and self-motivation Physically able to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs Comfortable working around animals (though limited direct handling) Positive attitude and strong communication skills Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Willing and able to work two Saturdays a month
Schedule & Compensation:
Job Type:
Full-time/ Part-time (30-40 hours/week) Daytime and Evening shifts, 2 Saturdays a month.
MUST BE AVAILABLE ON WEDNESDAYS AND THURSDAYS.
Pay:
