Eagle Animal Hospital is a privately owned, family-friendly small animal hospital looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. Responsibilities may include:
Assisting veterinarians and technicians with appointments and procedures Safely handling and restraining dogs and cats Preparing exam rooms and maintaining a clean, organized hospital Taking and recording patient histories and vital signs Assisting with laboratory testing and sample collection Preparing patients for surgery and dental procedures Cleaning and maintaining equipment Providing compassionate patient care and comfort Educating clients about basic preventative care Helping with kennel and patient care as needed Supporting the entire team wherever needed We are looking for someone who is: Compassionate and genuinely loves working with animals Empathetic and kind toward both patients and their owners Dependable, hardworking, and eager to learn A positive team player with excellent communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Able to safely handle dogs and cats Detail-oriented and willing to take initiative Previous veterinary experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person We believe that excellent veterinary medicine starts with compassion and empathy .
