Job Description
We are looking to expand our team! Apply for our Outpatient Veterinary Assistant! As a vet assistant, you'll work to promote a friendly and professional environment where emphasis is placed on quality medical care, client education and teamwork. You'll be instrumental in providing hands-on support to clients, patients and doctors with: Admitting pets for appointments (history, weigh & record vital signs) Patient restraint during procedures and examinations Assisting Veterinarians and Vet Techs during appointments. Cleaning and maintain the exam rooms. Preparing Vaccines, medications and lab specimens as directed. Fear Free environment( We are a Fear Free Certified Practice!). Educating clients about routine care and wellness protocols. Adhering to hospital's safety and wellness regulations. Requirements to be considered for this position: Applicants must have at least 1 year Handling/Restraint with dogs and cats. Knowledge & proficiency with dog and cat restraint Strong customer service & problem solving skills High school diploma/GED required Assistant Certification a plus but not required.
