My Pet's Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate individual that wants to be part of a professional team of vet assistants and kennel care takers. You will provide quality care to cats and dogs in a devoted and friendly hospital and Boarding facility. No experience required but a higher paying position is open for a candidate with experience or certification. We will train the right candidate who excited is to learn and develop their skills and knowledge! Some holidays and every other weekend is required! Full time availability only Our hospital has 2 locations that assistants may work between so reliable transportation is an advantage. Summary As a Veterinary Assistant/Kennel Technician, you will be integral to the care and well-being of animals in our facility. This role will require you to develop core skills in animal handling, veterinary terminology, and pet care, ensuring that all animals receive the highest standard of care. While no prior experience is necessary, your willingness to learn and work hard will be essential to your advancement and higher pay. You will support our veterinary team in daily operations, contributing to a compassionate environment for both animals and their owners. Join us in making a difference in the lives of pets and their families. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians in providing care for animals. Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kennel and clinic areas. Administer medications and monitor animal health as directed. Provide basic care for animals, including feeding and exercise. Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and care instructions.
