This energetic role offers the opportunity to work closely with veterinary professionals, assist with animal care, and ensure a smooth operation within our veterinary clinic. Whether you're passionate about pet care, animal husbandry, or gaining hands-on veterinary experience, this position is designed to help you grow your skills while making a positive impact on animals and their owners. Duties Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with animal examinations, treatments, and procedures. Handle animal restraint safely and effectively during examinations, treatments, and diagnostic procedures. Administer medications and injections following proper aseptic techniques and veterinary instructions. Support animal husbandry activities including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring health status. Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, answering client inquiries, and maintaining patient records. Perform laboratory tasks including sample collection, processing tests, and recording results accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, kennels, and equipment to ensure a safe environment for animals and staff. Assist with specialized procedures. Support pet owners with education on pet care, medication administration, and post-treatment instructions. Demonstrate excellent animal handling skills across various species. Experience Previous kennel experience or hands-on animal handling experience is highly valued. Background in animal husbandry or pet care enhances your ability to contribute effectively. Experience working in a veterinary clinic or with veterinary technicians provides a strong foundation for this role. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques is preferred. Laboratory experience or familiarity with diagnostic procedures supports accurate testing and record keeping. Prior veterinary assistant or critical care experience is advantageous but not mandatory; we provide comprehensive training for motivated candidates. Strong communication skills for front desk duties combined with the ability to handle animals confidently are essential for success in this energetic role.
