Veterinary Assistant - Physical Rehabilitation Therapy

Meeting the needs of our clients and patients, while supporting our staff are top priorities. We are looking for full time veterinary assistants to join our team in Physical Rehabilitation Therapy. Team members should have a positive, enthusiastic attitude, a profound attention to detail, work well within a team environment, and have strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, conscientious, and be able to multi-task. Previous experience in veterinary rehabilitation is desired but not required. The large rehabilitation gym includes Aquapaws SS underwater treadmills, a Swimex jetted therapy pool, an Airpaws 200 land treadmill, a ceiling lift and track system for patient mobility assistance, plenty of room for land-based therapies, and a generous dedicated rehab kennel and run space. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Assisting with patient evaluations & rehabilitation therapies (obtaining patient history & assessment, obtaining vitals, medication dispensing and administration, musculoskeletal ultrasound, PRP preparations etc.) Performing physical therapy exercises and modalities (i.e. underwater treadmill, pool therapy, laser, shockwave, stretching, massage, heat/cold therapy, etc) under DVM supervision Perform diagnostics (x-ray, laboratory diagnostics, CT, etc.) Restraining animals for examination and diagnostics Nursing care and TLC for our patients Maintaining medical records Client education & communication Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment
