We are seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who is confident in the treatment area, comfortable assisting with surgery and dental procedures, and interested in taking on a leadership and mentorship role as the practice grows. This position is ideal for an experienced technician who wants to be more than just a strong individual contributor. You'll have the opportunity to help develop newer team members, establish efficient workflows, and contribute to the overall success and culture of the practice. Key Responsibilities Assist doctors with surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient preparation, recovery, and surgical support Assist with dental procedures, including dental radiographs, cleaning, charting, and patient monitoring Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory procedures, radiographs, medication administration, and other technician duties Provide high-quality patient care and monitoring throughout appointments and procedures Train and mentor veterinary assistants and less-experienced technicians Serve as a resource and support for other members of the team Help develop and maintain consistent treatment protocols and workflows Assist with inventory, equipment maintenance, and organization of the treatment area Work with the doctors and management team to identify opportunities for improvement Help foster a positive, collaborative team culture What We're Looking For Several years of small animal veterinary technician experience Strong surgical and anesthesia experience Dental experience preferred Confident working independently while being a strong team player Excellent communication and organizational skills Someone who genuinely enjoys teaching and mentoring others A positive, professional attitude Someone who is interested in the bigger picture and wants to help build and improve the practice CVT/LVT preferred but not required Schedule & Benefits Full-time 4-day, 10-hour schedule Three days off each week No required weekends or holidays Compensation based on experience PTO Medical, dental, and vision benefits Monthly M/D/V stipend Employee veterinary discount The Opportunity We are building a new privately owned mixed animal practice in Goshen, Arkansas, with a strong focus on team culture, quality medicine, and developing our staff.
