About us Pet Dental USA Job Description Pet Dental USA is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic full time Veterinary Technician to join us at our Scottsdale Arizona location. Interested applicants should have some veterinary technician experience, good communication and computer skills and be a team player. We offer a fun, fast paced work environment with with no on call , no weekends , no pet boarding and no euthanasia. We offer competitive pay based on your experience along with Health, Dental and Vision insurance. We also offer a 401K with company match, PTO, uniform allowance and employee discounts. We work a 4 day work week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (10 hour workday). This position does require significant communication with our clients so communication skills and enthusiasm is a must! Our ideal candidate should possess the requirements below: Skills, Qualifications, Duties and Responsibilities Performing all technical skills and duties in accordance with hospital medical policies and procedures. Must be proficient and comfortable with setting IV catheters and giving medications, administering and monitoring anesthesia, and assisting in surgery. Performing dental procedures, including dental x-rays, would be good, but can be learned on the job. Compassion for pets and people-Excellent listening and communication skills, willingness to learn. Proven decision making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action. Willingness to work the hours that the hospital is open. Addressing the clients concerns and patient's needs, delivering quality medical care. Taking time to communicate effectively with clients, presenting them with treatment alternatives and being sensitive to their emotional as well as financial situation. Must be capable of learning and using computer for recording and entering all patient info and charges. Managing medical records, reports and correspondence. Hospital maintenance and ensuring that the hospital is neat at all times both inside and out. Experience as a veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, or animal care is a plus.
