Duties Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence, ensuring safety for both animals and staff during examinations and procedures Assist veterinarians with diagnostic radiology, including X-ray procedures and radiology diagnostics, maintaining aseptic technique throughout Conduct laboratory tests such as phlebotomy, blood work, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate patient assessments Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments following veterinary protocols while monitoring animal responses Support critical & intensive care units by providing specialized care for emergency medicine cases and managing animals in veterinary critical care settings Handle IV insertion, vascular access, and animal catheterization with precision to facilitate fluid therapy and medication delivery Maintain detailed medical records, operate medical equipment safely, and ensure cleanliness of all treatment areas in compliance with veterinary standards Skills Proven kennel experience combined with animal husbandry skills to maintain optimal health environments Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy to support accurate diagnostics and treatments Experience with dental terminology and procedures to assist in pet dental care including dental cleanings and extractions Skilled in dog handling, pet grooming, pet care, and animal restraint techniques for a variety of species including dogs, cats, and equines Familiarity with laboratory equipment operation, diagnostic radiology tools, and pet grooming techniques for comprehensive animal care Ability to perform anesthesia administration—general anesthesia or local—and monitor anesthetic depth during procedures Experience in emergency medicine scenarios requiring quick decision-making and effective critical & intensive care management Competence in animal catheterization, IV insertion, medication administration, and aseptic techniques to ensure safe patient care Join us if you're passionate about advancing veterinary medicine through compassionate care, technical expertise, and teamwork!
