Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Sun Surf Veterinary Hospital , located in Sunset Beach, California , is actively recruiting a dedicated, highly motivated, and experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to become a valued member of our experienced RVT team. Our clinic is committed to delivering quality veterinary care to our patients and providing exceptional customer service to their owners. We are one-doctor practice with a strong emphasis on preventive medicine, client education, and compassionate patient care. As an RVT at Sun Surf Veterinary Hospital , you will assume a pivotal role in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring the overall well-being of our patients. Your primary responsibilities will encompass, but are not confined to: Assisting veterinarians during surgeries, diagnostics, and other medical procedures. Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as per veterinarians' instructions. Conducting laboratory tests and analyzing the results. Collecting and preparing samples for diagnostic tests. Performing dental cleanings and aiding in dental procedures. Monitoring anesthesia and overseeing patient recovery. Providing nursing care and closely monitoring hospitalized patients. Educating clients on various topics, including preventive care, medication administration, and nutrition. Maintaining precise and detailed medical records.

Requirements:

Must hold a valid Registered Veterinary Technician license in USA. Profound knowledge of veterinary medical procedures and terminology. Proficiency in conducting laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and cytology. Experience in anesthesia monitoring and patient care. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities. Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners. Familiarity with Impromed Infinity or other veterinary software is a valuable asset.

Pay:

$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
